How can we help?

Answers to common questions are below. Anything else, email cycletronenterprise@gmail.com. A real person reads every message.

Starting a ride

Choose Outdoor, Indoor or Route on Ride home, then press Start.

  • Location: the first outdoor ride asks for your location. Choose “Allow While Using App”; CycleTron uses it only to record your ride. If you said no earlier, turn location on in your iPhone's Settings → CycleTron.
  • Screen and auto-pause: to keep the screen on during rides, or to pause automatically at stops, open You → Settings → Ride setup.
  • If the app is closed: if CycleTron is closed or your iPhone restarts during a ride, open the app again. The ride comes back paused, ready to resume or save.

Apple Watch

The Apple Watch is optional, and recording with it is part of Premium.

  • Choosing what records: with a Watch paired and CycleTron installed on it, tap the chip next to Start (“This iPhone” or “Apple Watch”). The app remembers your choice.
  • Watch rides: the Watch records the workout with heart rate, and your iPhone mirrors it. Keep the Watch on your wrist and unlocked when you start.
  • First ride on the Watch: confirm the Health permissions on the Watch once.
  • If the Watch doesn't respond: cancel the start request, choose “This iPhone” and start again.

Sensors

With Premium, CycleTron connects to Bluetooth heart-rate, speed, cadence and power sensors under You → Settings → Ride setup.

If a sensor does not appear, wake it by moving the crank or wheel, or by wearing the strap. Then check that it is not connected to another app.

Routes and directions

Import a GPX file from the Routes tab and follow its line on the map. With Premium, plan a route with “Where to?” and follow turn-by-turn directions.

Directions come from Apple Maps, and cycling directions are available only where Apple offers them. Where they are not, import a GPX route instead.

Your data

  • On your devices: rides are saved on your iPhone, and on your Watch when it records.
  • Apple Health: rides are saved to Apple Health if you allow it.
  • Backup: optional, part of Premium, and needs an account. Turn it on under You → Settings → Account and data, where you can also export your cloud data for free.
  • Deleting one ride: deleting it in CycleTron does not remove its copy in Apple Health. Remove that in the Health app if you want.

See the privacy policy for the details.

Delete your account

Open You → Settings → Account and data → Delete account, and sign in again to confirm. CycleTron deletes your cloud data and revokes the Apple or Google sign-in.

Rides on your devices and in Apple Health stay unless you remove them. Deleting your account does not cancel an Apple subscription; cancel that in your Apple Account settings.

Premium

  • Restore: purchases belong to your Apple Account. Restore them on a new device under You → Settings → Subscription.
  • Cancel or change: manage your subscription in the same place, or in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
  • Refunds: Apple handles refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Report a problem

To help us fix a problem quickly, include:

  • your iPhone and Watch models;
  • the app version, under You → Settings → Help and about;
  • what you expected, and what happened instead.
